San Diego, California, has good weather all year round. Unlike cities in many areas of the country, it doesn’t have to deal with a lot of extreme weather conditions. The weather tends to be pleasant and stay similar throughout the year. You don’t need to worry about hurricanes, tornadoes, or even lots of rain and humidity.

The beach is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. There are beaches that are great for surfing, as well as beaches that are nice for sunbathing and spending time with the family.

Once you have had your fill of the beach, you can choose to rent kayaks or sailboats, or to pay to go on a harbor cruise or a whale watch, depending on how active you prefer to be.

Sea World will give you a chance to get an up close view of many of the creatures found in the ocean. If you plan your visit right you might get to see one of the shows that are put on with seals, Orca whales, or dolphins as well as the many exhibits.

The San Diego Zoo also makes it possible to see lots of different animals, including pandas. All the animals have habitats that were created to be as close to their natural habitats as possible.

Animals can also be viewed in more of a safari setting at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, which is affiliated with the zoo.

Another popular area to visit, sometimes called the jewel of San Diego, is Balboa Park. It is close to the zoo has a lot of restaurants, gardens, and museums. You can meet your friends there for lunch or people watching or just to see the sights.

If you have small children stop at Legoland and Belmont Park since the kids will really enjoy the attractions there.

History buffs might like to eat in Old Town, where buildings have been preserved to show what historic San Diego was like. Other great options for dining are available in the Gaslamp District, which is the major shopping and entertainment area in the center of the city.

Sports enthusiasts can check out a Chargers football game or a Padres baseball game. There are also numerous options for golfing and other outdoor sports you might want to consider.
