Each summer my family and I head out on a vacation — assuming everyone can agree on a destination. We’ve done the standard trips to the Grand Canyon and Disneyland, so this year we were having some trouble deciding on where we wanted to go. A few of us wanted the beach, the others wanted the mountains. Personally I thought southern California would have been good because we might get the best of both worlds.

I was online recently looking for different ideas and came across many different sites that offer travel ideas. I ordered many pamphlets and brochures to help the family decide on where to go. I got some for southern California and some to New York City. I know that the City is not an ideal vacation spot but it is a place that I would like my children to see.

Ordering free travel brochures online was actually pretty easy. The site had all 50 states listed. All I had to do was pick the ones that interested us, order the travel brochures, and then get packing and get going.

There are countless possibilities in this country. I really didn’t realize how much potential there was for good family activities. There were brochures that had information on river rafting in southern Utah and finding the best ski slopes in Colorado. Basically, they had all the details we needed to start planning a great trip.

Wherever your final destination is, there’s a good chance you can find a free travel brochure for it. It was immensely entertaining to go through all these different brochures and consider places that I had never realized would be a good destination. There are so many hidden gems in this country that you could travel for months and never see them all.

When the pamphlets arrived we took some time and went over them as a family. It helped us narrow down the choices, but the kids were still holding things up. They were just too set on visiting an amusement park rather than a national park.

This site had travel pamphlets for nearly anywhere you could imagine going on vacation. It doesn’t matter if you prefer the indoors or outdoors, all you have to do is log on and find the pamphlets that have the details you need.

After getting all these brochures, though, and seeing how much potential there is around the country, it might just make the final decision a little harder. At least we can always depend on another summer coming around so we can go on many more vacations.
